Use in ChatGPT & Claude

What you can do

Once Aether is connected, you can build and search your knowledge base in plain language — just by asking.

You don't need to learn any commands. Talk to Claude or ChatGPT the way you normally would, mention your Aether knowledge base, and the assistant figures out which connector tool to use. Here's what's possible and how to ask for it.

Save notes and documents

Hand the assistant a chunk of text — a meeting summary, a decision, a snippet of research — and ask it to save it. It goes straight into your knowledge base, where it's searchable forever and available in every other chat and app.

"Save this meeting summary to my Aether knowledge base."

"Add this to Aether: our Q3 pricing is moving to three tiers — Starter, Team, and Scale."

Search with natural language

Ask a question in plain words. Aether searches by meaning, not just keywords, and returns the most relevant passages — with citations back to the documents they came from, so you can trust where the answer is grounded.

"What did we decide about pricing? Search my Aether docs."

"Search my Aether knowledge base for everything about the onboarding flow."

The assistant uses the cited passages to answer, so you get a grounded response instead of a guess.

Browse and manage documents

Ask to see what's in your knowledge base, pull up a specific document, or check what you saved recently.

"List the documents in my Aether knowledge base."

"Show me the product brief I saved to Aether last week."

Organize with tags

Tags keep your knowledge base tidy so you can search within a topic later. Ask the assistant to tag things as it saves them, or to find things by tag.

"Save this and tag it 'competitor-research' in Aether."

"Find my Aether notes tagged 'roadmap'."

Delete and restore

Remove something you no longer need, or bring it back if you change your mind.

"Delete that draft from my Aether knowledge base."

"Restore the document I just deleted from Aether."

What you can store today

Right now the connector works with text and markdown — notes, summaries, written documents, and snippets you save from a chat. That covers most day-to-day knowledge capture.

PDF and file upload is coming soon

Uploading PDFs and other binary files through the connector is on the way. For now, save text and markdown through chat. If you need to load PDFs or other file types today, you can do it with the Documents API or the CLI — both write to the same knowledge base your assistant reads from.
