Connect Aether to Claude
Add Aether to Claude as a custom connector and search your knowledge base in any conversation.
You can connect Aether on claude.ai, in the Claude desktop app, or in Claude Cowork. The steps are the same everywhere — you add the Aether connector once, sign in, and approve access. After that, Claude can search and update your knowledge base from any chat.
What you'll need
- A Claude account on a plan that supports custom connectors (see plan availability below).
- An Aether account — or none yet, since you can create a free one during the connect flow. No credit card required.
The Aether connector URL is:

Add the connector
Open Settings in Claude, then go to Connectors.
Click Add custom connector.
Paste the Aether connector URL into the URL field:

Sign in and approve access
When you add the connector, Claude opens the Aether sign-in page in a secure browser flow:
- Sign in or create your account. If you already have an Aether account, sign in. If not, create a free one right here — no credit card required.
- Choose the workspace to connect. If your account has more than one workspace, pick the one you want Claude to use. The connection is scoped to just that workspace.
- Approve access. Review the permissions — Claude is requesting read and write access to the knowledge base in that workspace (so it can both search and save). Approve to finish.
That's it. Claude can now search and update your Aether knowledge base in any conversation.
Sign-in, not API keys
Aether uses OAuth 2.1 for connectors. You sign in through your browser and approve access — you never paste an API key into the chat. See Manage your connection & privacy for how to review or revoke access later.
Try it
Start a new conversation and ask Claude to use your knowledge base. For example:
"Save this meeting summary to my Aether knowledge base."
"Search my Aether docs — what did we decide about the launch date?"
Claude will call the Aether connector, and the first time it does you may be asked to confirm the action. Head to What you can do for more example prompts and the full list of what the connector can do.
Plan availability {#plan-availability}
Custom connectors are available across Claude plans:

One-click install is coming soon
Today you add Aether using the custom connector URL above. A one-click install from the Claude connector directory is coming soon — when it lands, you'll be able to add Aether without copying the URL.
